The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. Colossians 1:15-18
Jesus, the most supreme being in the universe, cares about us. Everything was created by Him and for Him.
This verse describes who Jesus is. He is the image of the invisible God; firstborn over all creation, he holds everything together. He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, and firstborn from among the dead. He is supreme in everything!
Today, I was depressed. The sky was dreary and cloudy, and a heaviness hung in the air. I didn’t sleep well, and everything that was a little annoyance seemed big. When things feel like they are falling apart, it would probably do us well to remember Jesus holds all things together. I felt like everything was falling apart. It was just a lie from my enemy. Why can’t I remember the supremacy of Christ, instead of react to the lie?
I’ll try and do better next time. The rest of the day is going to go well, and there is sun above the clouds.
Thank you God for putting things into perspective, and for making Jesus Christ supreme over all things. Thank You that He holds all things together, even though my enemy tries to convince me that they are falling apart.
