The Precious Blood of Christ

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Peter 1:18,19 (KJV)

We weren’t bought with silver and gold, but by the precious blood of Christ. That is a monumental thought!

Only that pure sacrifice could cover over a multitude of sins such as mine. I am so grateful to Jesus for what He’s done, and for what He continues to do!  He clothed my unholiness with His righteousness.

He shed His blood, died, went to the depths of hell, acquiring the keys of death and hell. He was resurrected, was seen among many, before He ascended to Heaven. He is still working, preparing a place for us, and interceding on our behalf.

Behold! What manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children of God!

This life is full of sorrow and troubles, but we have the blessed assurance of the continued love of God when this life is over. We have the assurance of His strength and His help in our time of trouble.

I read about a little four-year-old with cancer, in Spokane, WA.. She calls herself, “Hunny Bunny”. This was a story of hope and love, as she has a Facebook page set up, where people all over the world have encouraged her parents with prayers and good wishes for “Hunny’s” recovery. Hunny is fighting this huge battle with such strength for a little girl. Below is a link to the story I read, in case you would like to know how to send your prayers, too, and read about this amazing little girl.

Dear Lord, I pray for this little girl, for Your healing power, and for Your mighty presence with her. I pray for Your wonderful will to be accomplished in this brave girl’s life. Give her parents strength and help, and hold this family together in the palms of Your capable hands! Thank You!
