And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divided the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. and the evening and the morning were the second day. Genesis 1:6-9
This second day was as amazing as the first!
In Yesterday’s post, God divided the light from the darkness, and in this post, we see He divides the water above the firmament, from the water under the firmament.
Honestly, I don’t understand it. However, I believe it! He was designing this creation for us, providing us a home. He was the builder and designer of a most wonderful place!
It is important to see that God has an enormous ability to create. He can divide bone from marrow, light from darkness, and create a planet with all the extras!
God must have taken joy in naming the beautiful blue sky-“Heaven’.
He named the first morning and evening, and called it-‘Day’.
He give us new names, as in the case of Jacob to Israel, Abram to Abraham, and Saul to Paul.
Did you know He will give each of us who overcome, a new name? Revelation 2:17: He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
Genesis contains the information we need to see that there is a God, and that there is life beyond our galaxy. God was so wonderful to share with us, in Genesis, how He designed and created the earth. We see how great, mighty, wise, and beautiful God is through His creation. He planned this world in an organized fashion, and blessed us with all His goodness.
Thank You, God! You created a wonderful place for us to live. You gave us bountiful food, the beauty of nature, the feelings of love and goodness, the gift of life. You are to be greatly praised and blessed! Thank You!!!
I took many pictures of nature, (God’s beauty) when I worked in the mountains. I thought I would share some. If you like them, and want to use them, feel free to copy and save them for whatever you choose.
