Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
Phil Robertson wrote about this verse today, in the Duck Commander Devotional.
He said if you had known him in his younger years, you would have thought that he was no child of God.
He did his own thing, made bad choices, and did bad things.
He became a new man when he accepted Christ. The old man ‘left the building’. He made the choice that he wanted to be a child of God. With that choice, he received a new life.
I can relate to what Phil says. I too, lived a life separated from Christ, when I was young. My actions and attitude were not Godly. I became a new woman when I accepted Christ. He has been changing my life daily as I walk with Him.
Thank You, God, for my new life in Christ, the the old has gone, and all things have become new! I pray that many more would desire to become new in Christ, and accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord. It is a wonderful thing for the old man, with all its sin and corruptness, to be made new! Amen.
