Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
What a burden to carry the sins of every living being. Jesus did that. He loved us so much. He cared about our souls, and saw that we needed salvation. He carried the heavy burden of all our sins.
Jesus was a man that the Bible says knew no sin.
2 Cor. 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Jesus not only took our sins, but he made us ‘right’ with God. He ‘erased’ our sins:
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
We are very blessed to receive forgiveness:
Romans 4:7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Just as Jesus was raised to life, we too will be raised to life:
1 Cor 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
God’s enormous love was manifested through Jesus:
1 John 4: 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Jesus is alive and actively working on our behalf, even now.
John 14: Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
A summary of this is that we have all strayed from God, and we are all sinners. We need forgiveness from a Holy and Just God. Through Jesus, we have the forgiveness of sins. He is the only perfect sacrifice that God will accept. He was the propitiation for our sins.Through Jesus we will be raised up after death to everlasting life. Jesus is actively preparing a place for us, and we do not have to worry about anything. Don’t let your hearts be troubled, believe in God, believe also in Jesus.
Dear God, I just thank You for sending Jesus to take all my sins and blot them out. I am so glad that He is with You, working to intercede on my behalf, and also to prepare a place for me. I thank You for Your great love and forgiveness and mercy. Thank You for Your precious Son, Jesus, who is perfect, and did Your will, so that the world could be redeemed. In Jesus’s Name, Amen.
