Will You Accept Him?

John 5: 43 I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him. 44 How can you believe since you accept glory from one another but do not seek the glory that comes from the only God[?

I am perplexed at what people will accept in their lives as knowledge, and who they will believe.

Atheists will go very far to believe in something that is even harder to believe in than God.

Many people believe in aliens, big bang theories, or that the world’s origins began from a single-celled organism.

Many people readily accept what is told them, without researching the issue for themselves.

When people think I am foolish to believe in God, I think they are foolish not to.

I accept that God sent Jesus to die for me. He saw that the world needed a Savior, and gave us a perfect man, willing to take on Himself the sins of the whole world. I believe that Jesus rose from the dead, and that He is at the right hand of God, interceding on my behalf. I believe that Jesus has the power to forgive, to heal, to restore, and to change lives for good.

The Bible builds on the story of mankind from beginning to end. It is not so hard to believe. In fact, God made it easy for us to know Him. He wanted to show His great love toward us, by sending Jesus to show us what He is like.

I pray, dear God, that You would send workers for the harvest. Thank You for showing us who You are, through the person of Jesus. You have the power to forgive, heal, restore, and change us for good. I pray that You would open the hearts and minds of people who are searching for You. Help them to find You. You are not far from any of us. In Jesus’s Name, Amen.

Acts 17

26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
