Writing and Sharing Your Testimony:

If you believe in Jesus, You have a testimony. If you are like me, your testimony is difficult to put into words.

Paul had an amazing testimony of his conversion. He was a religious zealot, a Pharisee, who persecuted, and helped put to death, many professing Christians.

His testimony is found in Acts 26. Some of his testimony is as follows:

15 “Then I asked, ‘Who are you, Lord?’

‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,’ the Lord replied. 16 ‘Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen and will see of me. 17 I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them 18 to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

Paul’s testimony almost convinced King Agrippa to follow Christ.

If you would like to write a testimony of your faith, I found an excellent WordPress article, by ‘My Song in the Night‘.

The article contained some help on how to write your testimony with six main points:

1. Read A Testimony From The Bible

2. Pray For The Spirit’s Help

3. Remember

4. Outline It In Three Steps: Before, But Then, After

5. Be specific.

6. Most importantly, remember it’s all about Christ.

I love to read testimonies. It helps my faith and encourages me to tell others of the wonderful things God does.

When I was single, over twenty years ago, I was so interested in how people met their spouses. I loved to hear of how people fell in love. I still do. Our testimony is a love story. It helps other people on their journey to find and receive love. Jesus has done so much that is worthy of telling and retelling. I urge you to tell your story, and share with others how you met the love of your life.

Thank you, dear Lord, for everything You’ve done. You are such a hero to me, and You are the love of my life. I would like to write my testimony, but am not sure how, so I pray for guidance from You. I know that faith comes by hearing the word of God. It is inspiring and encouraging to hear and read about the work that You continue to do in people’s lives. I pray for workers for the harvest, and for Your presence and love to continue to reach hearts. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
