2 Thessalonians 2:1-4
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
I agree with IB, and her post condemning WordPress for decorating our website.
However, we also need to remember that the rainbow is a symbol of hope to Christians everywhere. God put it as a sign in the sky to show Noah that He would not destroy the earth with a flood ever again.
Noah experienced what it was like to live in a totally sinful generation. Every human being except for eight were completely destroyed, and the earth was washed clean for a time!
Noah had a first-hand account of what it was like to see every human being destroyed by God’s wrath. That is an enormous concept for us to grasp.
We want to think of God as all love. The truth is that God hates sin! He will punish sin. The only thing that will save us is to be ‘washed clean’ by the flood of Jesus’s own blood, that washes over our sins and purifies us from all wrong.
As long as I have a voice, I will choose to let the gospel of salvation be made known. Part of the gospel message is to recognize sin, so that we can repent, and turn to God for forgiveness! I do not support the gay agenda. Homosexuality is a sin with severe consequences. Sodom and Gomorrah are just one example. In the book of Judges is another terrible example of what this behavior does to a community.
Oh God, I am sorry for my sins, and pray that people would repent, and turn to you! You are love, and love hates sin! Help us to be bold, courageous, filled with Your power and presence at this time, in this generation! Help us to put on Your armor daily, and help us to put Your word in our hearts, so that we will not sin against you.
In the name of Jesus, Amen!
